Global Delivery Services (GDS) is EY’s worldwide network of service delivery centers and plays an important role in supporting EY’s growth agenda.

Our teams provide services across Consulting, Assurance, Tax, Strategy and Transactions, and Knowledge, enabling EY teams worldwide to deliver seamless, high-quality, value-added support to clients.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP on HANA Senior Manager to serve as a technical leader within our IT Consulting team, leading complex SAP and cloud implementation engagements for global clients.

In this role, you will combine your deep technical expertise in SAP ABAP on HANA with strong leadership, stakeholder management, and project delivery capabilities.

Your Key Responsibilities

Client and Project Leadership

• Interface and communicate effectively with onsite coordinators, clients, and key stakeholders.
• Plan, manage, and monitor project deliverables to ensure alignment with client expectations and agreed timelines.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams throughout the engagement lifecycle.
• Provide regular project updates to senior management and onsite coordinators.
• Engage with customer representatives to address project requirements and support successful delivery.
• Travel to customer locations when required.
  
  

People Leadership

• Build and promote a quality-driven and collaborative team culture.
• Manage performance evaluations for direct reports in accordance with organizational policies.
• Lead by example and foster strong teamwork across project teams.
• Coach, train, and mentor project resources to strengthen their technical and professional capabilities.
• Participate in organization-wide people and talent initiatives.
  
  

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 14+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development.
• Extensive working knowledge of ABAP on HANA.
• Strong understanding of HANA Data Modeling concepts.
• Experience with custom code pushdown techniques.
• Hands-on knowledge of the ABAP Development Tools (ADT).
• Significant project experience with Core Data Services (CDS) and ABAP Managed Database Procedures (AMDP).
• Strong experience in Module Pool Programming, Adobe Forms, and Smart Forms.
• Strong ABAP programming expertise with hands-on experience in RICEFW development.
• In-depth knowledge of User Exits, Customer Exits, BADIs, and the Enhancement Framework.
• Familiarity with SAP data migration tools and SAP Gateway.
• Strategic understanding of clean core implementations.
• Understanding of AI-based tools and technologies.

• SAP HANA/ABAP experience.
• OData development.
• Backend Fiori experience.
• Experience with HANA analytics, including predictive and text analytics.

• Strong understanding of software development best practices.
• Excellent business communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
