SAP ABAP Developer Senior

Position Description

CGI Philippines is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior SAP ABAP Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have over eight years of extensive experience in SAP ABAP development, with a strong proficiency in Fiori applications. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing high-quality SAP solutions, collaborating with various teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Experience with the EWM module is a significant plus.

Your future duties and responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain ABAP programs, reports, interfaces, and enhancements.
• Create and manage custom solutions within the SAP ecosystem.
• Develop and implement SAP Fiori applications and customize standard Fiori apps.
• Work closely with functional and technical teams to gather requirements, define technical specifications, and ensure solutions meet business needs.
• Optimize existing code, enhance system performance, and ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within SAP modules, performing root cause analysis and providing effective solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for all developed solutions.
• Participate and conduct regular knowledge sharing sessions to members of the company.
• Address issues related to the SAP client system in a timely manner and with respect to SLA
• To administer, support and recommend improvements to the SAP system
• Accommodate project and client assignments and adhere to work schedule in accordance to business requirement
• Be able to mentor more junior resources and provide expert advise to project SMEs.
  
  

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
• Experience working with various SAP modules such as SD, MM, FI, or HR.
• Experience with interface development using File, RFC, IDOC, BAPI, and web services
• Proven experience with at least one full lifecycle SAP implementation project.
• Proven experience with SAP Fiori applications and UI5 development, including OData services.
• Strong knowledge of ABAP programming language, ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, and performance tuning. Expertise in RICEFW developments (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms).
• Proven experience with SAP Fiori applications and UI5 development, including OData services
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Familiarity with SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) module, including customizing and enhancing EWM functionalities
• SAP HANA Experience: Knowledge of SAP HANA, CDS Views, and AMDP.
• Agile Methodologies: Experience working in an Agile development environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to document processes clearly and create user guides or training materials.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, global, and matrixed environment.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on data accuracy and consistency.
• Self-motivated and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new tools, systems, and methodologies.
• Must be amenable to working onsite 1x a week in McKinley, Taguig, on a mid-shift schedule.
  
  

Education

• Bachelors or Masters degree in IT, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
