Job Description

The Salesforce CPQ Executive leads pre-sales and technical consulting for complex CPQ engagements. This role drives strategy, solution architecture, and team leadership to ensure scalable and effective CPQ implementations aligned with client business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Client Engagement & Discovery


  • Lead executive-level CPQ discovery sessions and workshops.
  • Gather, validate, and assess requirements for pricing, quoting, and product configuration.
  • Translate complex CPQ requirements into scalable solution strategies.


  • Solution Design & Oversight


  • Approve high-level CPQ solution designs, including product catalogs, pricing rules, discount strategies, quote templates, contracts, and subscriptions.
  • Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and cost-effective.
  • Guide PoCs and demos for executive client presentations.


  • Proposal & Estimation


  • Oversee CPQ project estimates, resource allocation, and timelines.
  • Provide strategic input for proposals, RFP responses, and SOWs.


  • Team Leadership & Mentorship


  • Mentor CPQ consultants and developers on architecture, configuration, and best practices.
  • Maintain reusable accelerators, solution libraries, and design templates.


  • Collaboration & Governance


  • Partner with Sales, Technical Architects, and PMO for alignment.
  • Represent CPQ practice in executive client discussions.


  • Required Skills & Qualifications


  • Expertise in Salesforce CPQ, product modeling, pricing, discounting, subscription, and quote-to-cash processes.
  • Executive-level pre-sales leadership and solution consulting.
  • Ability to communicate complex technical solutions to business stakeholders.


  • Experience


  • 5+ years Salesforce platform experience, including 3+ years CPQ leadership.
  • Prior experience managing pre-sales consulting teams.


  • Preferred Certifications


  • Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist
  • Salesforce Administrator or App Builder


  • Behavioral Competencies


  • Strategic problem-solving, executive communication, stakeholder management.
  • Mentorship and team leadership.
