How will you make an impact in this role?
The Sales Associate provides administrative assistance to the Australia Small Business Sales Team in International Card Services. The primary purpose is to support the Australia and Philippines SBS Sales Directors and Team Leaders in delivering against their individual client & collective team sales goals.
The Sales Associate is required to not only engage with a diverse group of Sales team members but also work with many internal Blue Box Partners and occasionally externally with clients & other suppliers.
The SBS Sales Team comprises 14 sales teams with a total FTE of 153. The position operates within a very fast-paced fun environment requiring maturity, flexibility and patience to respond to ever-changing needs. The role also requires strong verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to use analytical skills to create and edit power point decks as well as excel.
Responsibilities:
Create high‑impact presentations for team meetings, Rewards & Recognition events, and business reviews. This includes preparing supporting reports and analysis. Strong PowerPoint skills are essential.
Serve as a central information resource for leaders and internal partners, ensuring accurate and timely communication/ coordination.
Coordinate with Shared Services on lead and opportunity transfers and deliver productivity and monthly reports on schedule.
Analyze performance data and develop reports that support productivity, pipeline visibility, and overall business performance (e.g., ONE.force dashboards, pipeline management reports).
Support sales conduct and governance processes across SBS teams to ensure compliance, efficient issue resolution and tracking. Updating documents for approval; Compliance and control enhancement testing; Generate and consolidate referrals reporting from various systems.
Support new hire onboarding, including setting up system access, essential tools, and coordinating office orientation for SBS employees.
Manage headcount updates by submitting new hire and separation changes through internal tools (e.g., Qualtrics, Sales Governance, Marketing).
Provide administrative support to Sales Directors, including preparing TEVs, managing calendars and email, and offering backup support during team absences.
Coordinate colleague engagement activities, such as team events, celebrations, and cultural initiatives.
Handle general office management tasks, including stationery orders and maintaining updated marketing materials.
Set up and manage virtual meetings, including hosting large‑scale Webex Events.
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum requirement to have completed High School Certificate or equivalent
Understanding or willingness to develop an understanding of the financial services industry.
Excellent verbal and written business communication skills.
Ability to manage high volumes of work and meet competing deadlines while supporting multiple Sales Leaders, Partners, and Directors.
Strong proficiency—or the ability to quickly develop proficiency—in AMEX internal tools, ONE.force CRM, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively across diverse teams and build strong working relationships across the Blue Box.
Strong decision‑making skills, with the ability to drive outcomes without direct authority across various parts of the organization.
Openness to innovation and change, with the ability to support transformation within the Sales team.

Workplace Flexibility: Full time. Must be amenable to follow a hybrid work arrangement (onsite and work from home)
