The Opportunity

Join a full-time remote role supporting a leading Australian retail design agency specialising in commercial store fit-outs.

This multidisciplinary team delivers end-to-end retail environments — from architectural documentation and interior detailing to branding integration — for fashion, lifestyle, sporting goods, and premium retail brands.

This is a documentation-heavy AutoCAD role focused on producing accurate, construction-ready drawing packages for retail store projects.

Please note: We are NOT looking for candidates whose background is primarily in F&B projects (restaurants, cafés, food kiosks, hospitality kitchens). This role is specifically for retail store fit-out projects.

How You’ll Make an Impact

You will work closely with Senior Retail Designers and project leads to deliver precise, build-ready documentation.

• Prepare full drawing packages including plans, elevations, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), power and data layouts, sections, finishes schedules, and detailed joinery drawings
• Support Design Development, Tender, and Construction documentation stages
• Manage at least two active projects simultaneously while providing drafting support across teams when required
• Participate in technical coordination meetings to resolve documentation issues
• Ensure drawings comply with client brand standards, mall/landlord guidelines, and construction best practices
• Maintain strong quality control and deliver documentation within strict project timelines

This is not a conceptual design role. It is a technical production role requiring precision, speed, and strong documentation discipline.

Who We’re Looking For

You are a strong fit if you:

• Have 3+ years of hands-on AutoCAD drafting experience
• Have proven experience in retail store fit-out projects (fashion, luxury, sporting goods, lifestyle brands, etc.)
• Can produce full construction documentation sets independently
• Have strong understanding of joinery detailing, ceiling coordination, materials, and mall fit-out guidelines
• Are comfortable working remotely and managing deadlines independently
• Have excellent attention to detail and technical accuracy

This Role Is NOT Suited For:

• Candidates whose experience is primarily residential interiors
• F&B / hospitality-focused designers
• 3D visualisation-only roles
• Site supervision roles without strong drafting output
