Salmon operates a licensed bank in the Philippines – the Rural Bank of Sta. Rosa (Laguna), Inc. (“Bank”) -- with the ambition of building the best credit-led and technology-driven bank in Southeast Asia.


Salmon was founded in July 2022 by an experienced founding team, uses AI-enabled technology and a proprietary credit engine to offer market-disruptive consumer loans (Salmon Credit, Salmon Installment and Salmon Cash Loans) providing differentiated simplicity and convenience to its customers. The Salmon mobile app is 4.8 and 92% of its customers recommend its services to their friends and family.


In December 2023, Salmon received the approval of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas to acquire a majority stake at the Bank, which has its head office in Sta. Rosa, Laguna and a branch in Bacoor, Cavite. The Bank has been serving residents of Laguna and Cavite since 1963 and will look to expand its range of financial services including its Salmon Time Deposits, which has an annual interest rate of up to 8.88%.


Description

  • Proactively source and attract new deposit clients (PHP 500,000 and above) using your own network, referrals, and active prospecting.
  • Meet with high-net-worth and mass-affluent individuals, build strong professional relationships, and guide them through the entire deposit placement process.
  • Clearly explain deposit products, interest rates, safety, and onboarding requirements to ensure clients feel confident and fully informed.
  • Handle objections with professionalism, address concerns, and offer tailored deposit solutions based on each client’s financial needs.
  • Grow deposit volume by strategically developing and expanding a personal client portfolio.
  • Ensure a high level of satisfaction by providing excellent post-placement relationship management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (compliance, legal, operations) to ensure a smooth and timely account opening and deposit fulfillment process.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitor deposit rates to provide value-driven advice to clients.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly deposit acquisition targets through strong networking, sales capability, and client relationship skills.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions and deposit placements in the CRM (Creatio).


Requirements

  • Mandatory: Banking experience in the Philippines, specifically in deposits, relationship management, or wealth management.
  • Strong proven experience in attracting and managing deposit clients; previous handling of high-value portfolios is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills suitable for high-net-worth and affluent clients.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and objection-handling skills with a consistent record of achieving financial targets.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and persistent, with the ability to independently build and grow a client base.
  • Existing personal client network relevant to high-value deposit acquisition is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with time deposits and other financial products is preferred.
  • Experience working with upper-class clients and providing premium customer service.
  • Ability to meet clients in various locations, depending on client preference (office visits, cafés, corporate offices, etc.).
