Job Description
Job Summary:
The Quantity Surveyor is responsible for supporting the delivery of accurate and timely quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and measurement outputs across multiple projects. The role supports the GCC business remotely and contributes to maintaining consistency, quality, and efficiency in measurement processes while assisting project teams in project delivery.
The position focuses on developing technical capabilities, adhering to established workflows, and maintaining high standards of measurement accuracy in line with company and industry best practices.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Measurement & Quantity Take-Offs
- Prepare quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BIM models under supervision.
- Assist in the development of Bills of Quantities (BOQs) in line with project requirements and standards.
- Ensure measurements follow recognised standards and methodologies.
Cost Estimation & Analysis
- Support the preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents.
- Review project drawings and specifications to identify basic cost elements, risks, and discrepancies.
- Assist in cost and measurement exercises to support project cost control.
Quality Assurance
- Check and verify measurement outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain consistency of data across assigned tasks and projects.
- Follow established processes, templates, and quality standards.
Team Support
- Work collaboratively with senior team members and other departments.
- Support knowledge sharing within the team.
- Assist in learning and applying company systems and procedures.
Systems & Process Improvement
- Use digital measurement tools and QS software effectively.
- Follow established workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
- Support the adoption of new tools and technologies such as BIM-based measurement.
Qualifications
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3–6 years of experience in quantity surveying or measurement roles
- Experience in quantity take-offs and BOQ preparation in both 2D and 3D
- Familiarity with measurement standards (e.g., CESMM, POMI, or equivalent).
- Proficiency in QS software (e.g., CostX, Revit, or similar) is essential.
- Basic understanding of construction methods.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects is preferred.
- Middle East experience would be advantageous but not essential.
- Good verbal and written communication skills (English).
Must be willing to work fixed night shifts and hybrid set-up; 3 days onsite work per week.
