PAYROLL SPECIALIST

Job Summary

The Payroll Specialist is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with labor laws, company policies, and government regulations. The role involves payroll computation, attendance validation, government contributions, employee compensation concerns, and payroll record management across multiple branches and departments.

What You'll Do

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees across assigned branches and departments.
  • Review and validate attendance, overtime, undertime, leaves, holidays, and other payroll-related transactions.
  • Compute salaries, allowances, incentives, commissions, deductions, and final pay.
  • Ensure accurate and timely remittance of government contributions including SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, and withholding taxes.
  • Prepare payroll reports, summaries, and reconciliation reports for management.
  • Handle payroll inquiries and resolve employee concerns regarding compensation and deductions.
  • Coordinate with HR, Operations, Finance, and branch personnel regarding attendance and payroll discrepancies.
  • Process employee loans, salary adjustments, cash advances, and other payroll-related requests.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee compensation data.
  • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws, company policies, and government regulations.
  • Assist in payroll audits and support HR and Finance initiatives when needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • At least 2 years of payroll processing experience.
  • Experience handling payroll for 100+ employees is an advantage.
  • Knowledgeable in payroll computation, labor standards, government-mandated benefits, and statutory deductions.
  • Familiar with SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG, BIR, and DOLE regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, and reporting).
  • Experience using payroll and HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.
  • Can work independently and meet payroll deadlines.
