Job Description

Responsible in the low level analysis, planning, and execution of OSP (Outside Plant) infrastructure projects that support the core transport network. This role is responsible for providing detailed technical solutions, conducting network analysis, and ensuring that OSP designs and deployments align with operational and business objectives.

OSP Network Design And Analysis

• Provides the detailed planning and design of OSP (Outside Plant) infrastructure, focusing on the transport core network.
• Analyze network requirements and provide technical solutions that optimize the design and performance of fiber optics, aerial, and underground networks.
  
  
  

Project Implementation Support

• Contribute to the execution of OSP infrastructure projects, ensuring designs are translated into effective, on-the-ground deployments.
• Monitor project progress and work with the project management team to ensure timelines and milestones are met.
  
  
  

Network Performance Evaluation

• Conduct performance assessments and network audits, identifying bottlenecks, potential risks, and areas for improvement within the core OSP network.
• Propose and implement solutions for network enhancements, focusing on reliability, scalability, and future-proofing the infrastructure.
  
  
  

Collaboration With Cross-functional Teams

• Work closely with Operations, Engineering, and Vendor teams to align project execution with network requirements.
• Facilitate coordination with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that technical solutions meet business and operational goals.
  
  
  

Compliance And Standards Adherence

• Ensure that all OSP projects comply with safety regulations, environmental guidelines, and industry standards.
• Support the development and enforcement of technical guidelines and best practices for OSP network deployments.
  
  
  

Technical Documentation And Reporting

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, network maps, and performance reports.
• Provide regular updates to the Head of Transport Core OSP Planning and Engineering on project progress, risks, and solutions.
  
  
  

Support In Fortification Projects

• Assist in the fortification of aerial-to-underground cable transitions, ensuring minimal disruption to network operations and alignment with core network goals.
