QA Tester (Staff)

The QA Tester will be responsible for developing and maintaining a comprehensive testing strategy to ensure the quality, stability, and performance of both new product features and existing applications. They will work closely with development teams, business products owners, and cross-functional stakeholders to validate product enhancements, resolve defects, and ensure successful releases that meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Develop and maintain a comprehensive testing strategy to ensure the quality and stability of product applications.
• Collaborate with development teams and business product owners to understand product enhancements, backlog items and issues and bug fixes identified in new releases.
• Design, develop and administer test cases that identify any potential issues with products before general release.
• Identify and prioritize critical regression test cases based on business impact and risk analysis.
• Conduct thorough defect analysis, identifying root causes and providing detailed information to development teams for resolution.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate the fix of regression issues and ensure proper retesting.
• Monitor and report on the progress of testing activities, including test coverage, defects, and overall quality metrics.
• Identify areas for test process improvement and propose strategies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Prepare testing materials for business testers and facilitate testing stand up calls during testing cycles
• Document system changes post product release.

• Ability to quickly learn the business and program details to accurate develop clear and effective test cases.
• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality and accuracy.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify, isolate, and reproduce defects.
• Ability to “self-manage”, meet deadlines, proactively communicate progress, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with development teams, stakeholders, and other members of the testing team.
• A good command of English, both written and verbal is essential.
• Integrity in a professional environment.
  
  

Beneficial but not essential:

• Knowledge of test automation frameworks and tools, such as Selenium, Appium, or similar is preferred.
• Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools, such as JIRA, TestRail, or similar, for organizing and tracking regression testing activities.
