We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Manager/Assistant Vice President, Asset Servicing – MSS Operations – Fixed Term

Role Purpose

To manage and monitor the processing of corporate events and physical shares registration, ensuring that all events and transactions are paid on time and in accordance with clients instructions, while complying with existing rules and regulations, internal procedures and customer service agreements. To ensure that all Asset Servicing-related queries received from internal teams and external contacts (clients, depositories, issuers, transfer agents, etc) are all replied to in a timely manner. Deputizes for VP – Asset Servicing in his/her absence.

Principal Accountabilities

Impact on the Business / Function

  • Contributes towards maintaining/increasing the Banks market share through seamless operations and provide support to business development and client servicing teams
  • Maintains Securities Services departments technical advancement and operational viability

Customers / Stakeholders

  • Ensure quality service are provided to clients

Leadership & Teamwork

  • Contribute towards development of staff
  • Contribute to lobbying efforts with regulators

Operational Effectiveness & Control

  • Maintain HSBC control standards including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
  • Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting

Qualifications

  • Previous Securities Services experience is an advantage (e.g. Asset Services/Corporate Actions, Settlements, Operations, BSRD, Client Services).
  • General banking operations (e.g. remittances, taxation, foreign exchange) or financial accounting or business analyst background, knowledge of stock market activities, equities, fixed income instruments and other securities.
  • Familiarity with regulators (Philippines Stock Exchange, Philippine Depository and Trust Corporation, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Bureau of Internal Revenue, Securities and Exchange Commission) and regulations.
  • Able to build relationships and influence others, both internal and external stakeholders
  • Must possess effective communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to think and work effectively under challenging situations to properly manage multiple tasks and identify any potential issues and resolve them.
  • Must have strong sense of ownership, responsibility, accountability, and teamwork.
  • Must be organised, analytical, with keen attention to detail, a fast learner and efficient worker and ability to prioritize tasks.

Due to the urgent hiring need, candidates with immediate right to work locally and no relocation need will be prioritised.
