The Opportunity
As the Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, developing strategic partnerships with key healthcare stakeholders, and expanding Abbott Vascular's presence within assigned accounts and territories. You will work independently under limited supervision, leveraging your commercial expertise, clinical knowledge, and customer relationship management skills to achieve business objectives and deliver value to healthcare professionals and patients.
What You’ll Do
Promote and sell Abbott Vascular products across assigned key accounts and territories.
Develop and execute account plans to achieve sales targets and business objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with cardiologists, vascular specialists, hospital administrators, purchasing departments, and other key decision-makers.
Identify new business opportunities and drive market penetration within existing and prospective accounts.
Conduct product presentations, clinical discussions, and educational programs for healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, medical affairs, customer service, and supply chain to support customer needs.
Monitor market trends, competitive activities, and customer feedback to develop effective sales strategies.
Prepare accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and territory performance analyses.
Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical sales practices.
Support product launches and execute promotional activities to maximize business growth.
Participate in conferences, workshops, and industry events to strengthen customer engagement and enhance product awareness.
Manage contract negotiations and support the implementation of account-specific business solutions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Associate degree or above.
Minimum 1 year of relevant sales experience.
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities effectively.
Demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.
Willingness to travel within assigned territories.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and CRM systems.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, Pharmacy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Experience in medical device, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or diagnostics sales.
Knowledge of cardiovascular, vascular, or interventional therapies.
Experience managing hospital accounts, procurement teams, and healthcare networks.
Strong business acumen and strategic account management capabilities.
Experience working in a highly regulated healthcare environment.
Proven track record of consistently exceeding sales objectives.
Ability to analyze market data and translate insights into actionable business plans.
