Our brand, Lennor Metier Consulting, a DOLE-licensed headhunting and recruitment agency in the Philippines, is proud to partner with a leading telecommunications company in their search for a Jr. Legal Counsel based in BGC, Taguig.

Salary Range: ₱40,000 - ₱50,000

Work Setup: Onsite

Shift Schedule: Day Shift

Location: Taguig City

The role

The Junior Legal Counsel supports the Legal Advisory & Compliance Department by providing practical and strategic legal guidance across the organization. This role ensures business decisions are legally sound, potential risks are identified early, and compliance with applicable laws and regulations is maintained. The Junior Legal Counsel also facilitates corporate governance, manages legal transactions, and contributes to the overall legal strategy of the organization.

Your Responsibilities

Legal Advisory & Risk Management

  • Provide timely legal opinions, guidance, and consultancy to internal departments.
  • Attend board and committee meetings to advise on legal matters and implications.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal risks in business operations.
  • Manage and coordinate with external counsels on transactional matters.
  • Review internal policies to ensure alignment with laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Conduct legal due diligence for site acquisitions and other business initiatives.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize contracts, safeguarding the company’s interests and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Corporate Secretarial Support

  • Assist with corporate secretarial functions, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Special Projects & Legal Initiatives

  • Handle special projects, including task force participation and preparation for potential litigation.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of a legal library to serve as a resource for the Legal team.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Mentor and support Legal Associates, fostering a performance-driven and collaborative team culture.
  • Conduct regular team reviews to monitor progress, align objectives, and ensure client satisfaction.

What Were Looking For

  • Bachelor of Laws (LLB) or Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree.
  • Passed the Bar Examinations and member of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines (IBP).
  • 1–2 years of experience in corporate law, governance, regulatory compliance, corporate housekeeping, and litigation.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify legal issues during due diligence.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented, capable of multitasking, working under pressure, and managing legal challenges.
  • Proactive in identifying legal challenges and proposing practical solutions within the legal framework.
