IT Infrastructure Specialist I

What You Will Do

• Support the Data Center Operations team in all operational, programmatic, and administrative management of infrastructure projects.
• Perform daily monitoring on Data Center, system, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
• Provide local and remote diagnostics on technical issues relating to data center infrastructure.
• Provide after-hours support for infrastructure related emergencies as well as monthly systems maintenance and perform routine and preventative maintenance procedures for equipment sites.
• Provides operational support and life-cycle management of the hardware and software infrastructure
• Changing of backup tapes based on predetermined schedule
• Works with 3rd party vendors to ensure technical assurance, adherence, and SLA to quality standards.
• Collaborate and work with hardware and storage team to take new server/storage products into production in the data centers.
• Coordinating support and perform basic hardware fixes, replacements, and upgrades, besides cabling and hardware installations and testing.
• Organize, rack and stack, report on, and manage power needs.
• Manage Data Center Inventories for such as equipment, servers, etc.
• Provide and define appropriate system & process documentation best practices.
• Participate and support Data Center Planned Activities (Power, HVAC, etc.)
• Mentor IT Associate Infrastructure Specialist on Tasks
  
  

What You Need To Have

• Experience in installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.
• Understanding on network concept and protocols
• Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools (Nagios, Splunk, BMS, Zabbix, Solar Winds)
• Knowledge in backup storage and tape Library.
• Knowledge in maintaining backup policies and performing of backups.
• Knowledge in Building Electrical & Mechanical Systems (HVAC, CCTV, security access, BMS, Fire Protection System).
• Basic knowledge in Linux / Microsoft Operating Systems, Workstation and Server

• Certified Data Center Professional (CDCP)
• Certified Data Center Specialist (CDCS)
• Knowledgeable VMware and ESXi (6.x or higher) configuration and management experience.
