The Business Analyst is responsible as the liaison between the business/client and the project team. The Business Analyst is responsible for data gathering, validation, analysis of requirements, understanding the current situation, and aligning the solutions with the client’s business processes and needs.
Duties And Responsibilties
Liaise with stakeholders to understand business processes, system features, needs and objectives, and challenges and pain-points effectively
Influence stakeholders for best solution implementation while removing blockers and suggesting best approach
Manage requirements with the use of effective application of change control processes and tools
Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions
Collaborates with subject matter experts to provide recommended IT solutions and process improvement plans to clients addressing their pain points.
Ensures general understanding of high and low-level information between all project stakeholders.
Reviews testing scenarios to ensure that they are aligned with requirements stated in software documentation.
Conducts user acceptance testing, providing post-implementation support to business stakeholders and end-users through user manual documentation and facilitation of user training.
Documents high-level and detailed user requirements that may span multiple business domains.
Documents current and to-be business processes and high-level product requirements specifications.
Documents detailed functional and non-functional requirements (i.e. Performance/Turnaround Time, Data Retention, Usability, Interoperability, etc.)in use-case format.
Creates a walkthrough deck in preparation for the UAT proper.
Documents user manuals and training decks for post-implementation support
Job Specifications
Education – At least graduate with a Bachelor’s or Masters Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or any related course.
Related Work Experience
Experienced in software development lifecycle using Agile methodologies including
Requirements Engineering
Process Definition and Mapping
Change Management
Knowledgeable with diagramming techniques
Certifications is a plus
Six Sigma (Yellow/Green)
CPO
AAC
Minimum Qualifications
Core skills
At least two (2) years of experience
Requirements gathering, validation, documentation, and change control management
Process analysis and mapping (current vs. future state)
Writing functional & non-functional requirements, use cases, and specifications
Testing & Deliver Alignment
Review of testing scenarios
UAT support, training, walkthrough decks, and user manuals
