Advance your career by joining our Home Lending Operation team that supports Underwriters.

As the Associate Underwriting Supervisor within the Underwriting Team, you will manage, coordinate, and direct the daily operations of a unit of non-exempt Associate Underwriters and/or support a processing unit in a product area. You will assign work, set workflow priorities, track your units performance, and monitor daily business activities. You will handle exception items, resolve complex issues, coordinate and oversee departmental projects, and document and introduce new procedures to your staff. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and recommending system modifications for processing business.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead a team of Associate Underwriters
  • Coach and lead by example to drive results
  • Select and retain talent; responsible for performance management of the talent
  • Have a customer focus mindset
  • Operate with sense of urgency and use of problem solving skills to resolve any issues or escalations
  • Influence internal and external partners and promote process improvement

Required Qualifications, Capabilities And Skills

  • Advanced Level of knowledge in Underwriting Experience, and with Lending Authority experience
  • Strong Problem solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent relationship management skills
  • Ability to handle difficult conversation with Internal Partners

Tenure

  • Must meet minimum employment tenure requirement. Specific roles require longer tenure in current position to be eligible to apply. Unless established for specific positions by the line of business, the standard tenure requirement is 12 months.
