GUIDEWIRE BUSINESS ANALYST — INSURANCE TRANSFORMATION
About The Role
We are seeking experienced Guidewire Business Analysts to support configuration, implementation, and transformation engagements across insurance environments. You will serve as the critical link between insurance business stakeholders and Guidewire delivery teams — translating operational requirements, policy rules, and regulatory constraints into clear, platform-aligned specifications that drive successful implementations.
This role goes beyond traditional business analysis. A strong Guidewire BA understands not just what the business needs, but how those needs map to Guidewire's product model, configuration options, and platform capabilities. Guidewire certifications are a strong differentiator for this role and are actively highlighted in how we position our team to clients. If you hold one or more Guidewire certifications, we want to know about them — and we will make sure clients do too.
Experience: 4+ Years in Business Analysis, with Guidewire Platform Exposure
GUIDEWIRE CERTIFICATIONS — WHY THEY MATTER HERE
We actively promote the certified expertise of our team members to clients and in proposal responses. A certified Guidewire BA brings verified platform knowledge that accelerates requirements gathering, reduces rework caused by configuration misalignment, and strengthens the credibility of our delivery teams with clients. Candidates who hold current certifications will be given preferred consideration and will have their credentials highlighted in client-facing engagements.
Guidewire Certified Professional Business Analyst— PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter
Guidewire Certified ACE Business Analyst-— PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, or BillingCenter
Candidates who are actively pursuing certification or who have prior certification experience are encouraged to note this in their application. We support ongoing certification development for the right candidates.
Guidewire Platform Experience
Candidates with business analysis or functional experience across any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:
Elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements from insurance subject matter experts, operations teams, and product owners across PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and/or BillingCenter implementations
Translate insurance business rules, workflows, and regulatory requirements into Guidewire-aligned functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Facilitate working sessions and workshops with client stakeholders to analyze current-state processes and define future-state configurations
Collaborate with Guidewire developers and solution architects to ensure requirements are technically feasible and aligned to platform capabilities and best practices
Analyze and document product model requirements including lines of business, coverages, policy terms, rating structures, and forms logic
Support the configuration and validation of Guidewire screens, workflows, and business rules in collaboration with the development team
Contribute to integration requirements including data mapping, third-party system connections, and API specifications
Develop and maintain functional documentation including process maps, configuration workbooks, data dictionaries, and traceability matrices
Support data migration activities including legacy data mapping, transformation rules, and validation criteria
Coordinate and support UAT by preparing test scenarios, facilitating business stakeholder walkthroughs, and managing defect triage
Contribute to change management activities including training materials, business readiness assessments, and go-live support
