We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of GTS Product & Program Manager .

GTS is a core product that is offered to MNL’s Corporate & Institutional Banking (CIB) customers.

The role is responsible for managing and developing HSBC trade finance products with the objective of contributing to profitability and to enhance the client experience. In addition, as this is a dual-hat role, the role holder is expected to function as a program manager that will be responsible for the overall performance and growth of existing SCF programs as well as identifying cross-sell opportunities for relevant products such as, but not limited to, Dynamic Discounting, Receivables Finance, Integrated Working Capital, and TradePay.

In This Role, You Will

  • Manage the full product lifecycle for Traditional and Structured Trade products, including commercialization, implementation and its governance aspects, ensuring alignment with market needs and strategic objectives
  • Develop and champion existing products, ensuring that they are competitive and meet client needs
  • Roll-out of new products and enhancements, navigating the product governance processes and ensuring compliance with internal guidelines
  • Foster strong relationships with customers
  • Practice consultative selling, implement and design workable, innovative and needs-appropriate solutions for customers
  • To implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Head of Group Compliance, Regional Compliance Officer, Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture and optimizing relations with regulators
  • Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators. Manage operational risk, including its identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting.

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

  • University Degree (BS or BA)
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in Trade Finance and five (5) years’ experience in a role within Corporate/ Commercial Banking
  • Strong knowledge of core trade, supply chain finance, and receivables finance solutions – knowledge of structured trade finance an advantage
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with a particular emphasis on influencing and negotiating skills
  • Strong business acumen and commercial awareness
  • Strong time management, planning, and organization skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver compelling presentations
  • Ability to understand the fundamentals of our customers’ businesses
  • Knowledge of the local commercial banking market specifically the local competitive landscape and competitor propositions an advantage
