Job Description

A Day in the Life:

Attend daily team meetings to review progress and discuss upcoming tasks.

Design, code, configure, test, debug, deploy, document, and maintain web service applications using software development toolkits.

Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to improve code quality and adherence to coding standards.

Gather business requirements and translate them into detailed technical specifications.

Troubleshoot issues, perform analysis, and implement software enhancements.

Validate that proposed applications align with architectural design and business needs.

Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.

Improve skills through training and skill development opportunities.

Collaborate with team members to identify and implement best practices.

Act as a point of contact for clients and stakeholders to provide updates and reports on project progress.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems, or a closely related technical field ((completed or currently in progress; undergraduates welcome), with foundational skills in programming, data analysis, systems analysis, or technical problem‑solving.

3–5 years of work experience as a Full Stack Developer using Node.js.

Work experience in at least one frontend framework: React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.

Experience working in Agile and Scrum methodology and practices.

Experience creating and reading UML diagrams (use case, activity, sequence).

Experience working with design patterns and identifying an appropriate pattern for a given problem.

Experience using IDEs such as Eclipse or IntelliJ.

Experience leading a team or mentoring junior developers.

Experience with code versioning tools such as Git and collaboration tools such as Confluence and JIRA.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Experience creating unit tests using JUnit, Mockito, or PowerMock.

Experience working with data formats such as JSON and YAML.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience using one or more of: Swagger, Kafka, RabbitMQ.

Experience using quality/security scan tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, WebInspect.

Experience with SOAP web services.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

Experience identifying and mitigating common web security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques.
