Job Title: Finance Controller

BGC, Taguig | On-site | Mon-Fri

Job Summary

The Finance Controller is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and compliance. This role ensures the integrity of financial information, supports strategic decision-making, and leads the finance team to achieve organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Reporting & Closing

  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of financial reports.
  • Present financial results to senior management.


2. Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes.
  • Monitor financial performance against budget.
  • Provide variance analysis and actionable recommendations.
  • Support strategic planning initiatives.


3. Internal Controls & Compliance

  • Establish and maintain strong internal control systems.
  • Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and accounting standards.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Manage risk assessment and mitigation strategies.


4. Cash Flow & Treasury Management

  • Oversee cash flow planning and liquidity management.
  • Monitor working capital and optimize cash utilization.
  • Manage banking relationships and financing arrangements.


5. Team Leadership

  • Supervise and mentor the accounting and finance team.
  • Drive process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.


6. Cost & Performance Management

  • Monitor operational costs and profitability.
  • Review pricing strategies and margin analysis.
  • Support management with financial modeling and investment evaluations.


Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Accountancy, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA, CMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
  • 7–12 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.
  • At least 3–5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and taxation.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced financial modeling.
