As a Technical Service Executive at B. Braun you plays a vital role in ensuring the optimal operation and performance of B.Braun machines and ancillary systems at hospitals and ambulatory centers. This includes conducting technical assessments, performing maintenance and repairs, troubleshooting issues, and Biomed Engineers technical training. The role requires close collaboration with healthcare providers to ensure equipment reliability, safety, and compliance with B. Braun’s operational standards and local healthcare regulations.

Your key responsibilities:

  • Installs, inspects, and commissions B. Braun medical equipment following manufacturer, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Performs preventive and corrective maintenance, including advanced troubleshooting of electromechanical, hardware, and software issues.
  • Diagnoses equipment failures, completes repairs or component replacements, and conducts calibration and performance verification.
  • Provides on-site and remote technical support, customer training, and maintains accurate service documentation using ServiceMax.
  • Ensures compliance with B. Braun quality and safety procedures while collaborating with internal teams and supporting overall service operations.

What you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field (preferred).
  • At least 3 years of experience servicing medical equipment, ideally in dialysis or renal care.
  • Strong understanding of dialysis machine operation, calibration, and maintenance, with excellent technical troubleshooting skills.
  • Effective communicator capable of training and supporting healthcare professionals.
  • Able to work independently, travel to client sites, and respond quickly to service needs or technical emergencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (an advantage)
  • Minimum of (3 years) of experience in servicing medical equipment, ideally within the dialysis or renal care industry.
  • Strong knowledge of dialysis machines and ancillary equipment operation, calibration, and maintenance procedures.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform detailed technical assessments and repairs.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to train and interact effectively with healthcare providers.

COMPETENCIES

Equipment Maintenance & Support

  • Conduct thorough assessments of machines and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform routine calibration, preventive maintenance, repairs, and part replacements within designated timeframes.
  • Adhere strictly to B. Braun’s standard operating procedures and quality guidelines during all service activities.
  • Provide timely technical phone support to resolve equipment issues within 24 hours, minimizing downtime.

Troubleshooting, Collaboration & Escalation

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, documenting findings and implementing corrective actions.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or manufacturer support when necessary.
  • Work closely with sales, clinical, and product teams to provide feedback on equipment performance and customer needs.

Documentation & Compliance

  • Prepare detailed service reports after each visit, including assessments, actions taken, and recommendations to be uploaded in ServiceMax.
  • Submit service-related documentation promptly and accurately for regulatory and internal compliance.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of service history, parts usage, and work performed per client site in ServiceMax.

Technical Training & End-User Support

  • Conduct Biomedical Engineers technical training and train hospital and ambulatory staff on equipment technical features, proper usage, and basic troubleshooting.
  • Provide ongoing guidance to clinical teams and biomedical engineers to ensure safe, reliable, and effective equipment operation.
  • Share practical tips and feedback with both clinical staff and biomedical engineers based on usage patterns, technical assessments, and equipment performance.

Safety & Standards

  • Ensure all work complies with B. Braun’s standards, local healthcare regulations, and equipment safety protocols.
  • Promote a culture of safety, emphasizing preventive maintenance, correct calibration and proper disposal.
  • Follow infection control and workplace safety protocols to protect patients and healthcare staff.

Continuous Improvement

  • Stay updated on advancements in healthcare technology and best practices in equipment servicing.
  • Participate in training, workshops, and professional development programs.
  • Provide feedback to management on recurring issues and suggest improvements to service processes.
