Enterprise Master Data and Operations Analyst

Job Description Summary

The Enterprise Master Data and Operations Analyst will support enterprise-wide master data management, governance, and operational processes to ensure data is accurate, consistent, secure, and compliant. This role partners with business stakeholders, IT, and vendors to manage data quality, security controls, reconciliation, and integration activities. The analyst will play a key role in supporting governance policies, supporting financial operations, and driving continuous improvements in data maturity and reliability.

Job Description

Role Purpose:

  • Support development of master data management (MDM) and governance practices, including policies, data quality standards, and stewardship responsibilities.
  • Maintain enterprise data documentation, including data dictionary, business glossary, and data lineage.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, owners, and governance committees to standardize definitions, enforce best practices, and resolve data quality issues.
  • Track and report on data quality and maturity metrics, recommending strategies for improvement.
  • Document and maintain security roles and permissions across enterprise applications; support SOX-compliant processes, audits, and user appropriateness reviews.
  • Perform data assessments, profiling, and source-to-target mapping to support new data integrations and system changes.
  • Support operational finance by Processing of Signature Requests/Purchase and Change Order requests following review and communicating with vendors on discrepancies.
  • Serve as a contact for business users on Workday coding and related accounting reconciliation processes.
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and ensure data readiness during product or system releases.
  • Provide training, documentation, and stakeholder updates to promote data governance adoption and awareness.

Knowledge & Experience

  • Strong knowledge of MDM principles, data governance frameworks, and data quality practices.
  • Experience with ERP/MDM platforms (e.g., Workday), data lineage/metadata tools, and vendor reconciliation.
  • Familiarity with SOX compliance, audits, and IT security controls.
  • Ability to analyze processes and improve them
  • PC-Related knowledge
  • Ability to work as part of a small team or alone
