About The Job

The Employee Relations Manager is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Home Credit Philippines’ employee relations framework, policies, and processes. The role ensures fair, transparent, and consistent treatment of employees in alignment with company values and local laws. This role is pivotal in cultivating a culture of accountability, trust, and respect while mitigating people-related risks through proactive employee relations management and compliance, and maintaining organizational alignment.

What You’ll Do

  • Employee Case Management
  • Lead the end-to-end management of employee cases including disciplinary actions, grievances, investigations, and appeals, ensuring timely and fair resolution.
  • Partner with Legal and Compliance in reviewing complex cases to mitigate regulatory and reputational risks.
  • Oversee case documentation and ensure records are maintained in accordance with data privacy and labor law requirements.
  • Drive consistency in decision-making across functions and business units.
  • Policy Development & Governance
  • Review, update, and implement company policies related to conduct, attendance, performance, and workplace behavior in line with evolving business and legal requirements.
  • Serve as subject-matter expert on HR and labor policies, advising leaders and People Partners on policy interpretation and compliance.
  • Contribute to the strengthening of People Governance through continuous process improvement, simplification, and digitization of case workflows.
  • Stakeholder Partnership
  • Partner with People Partners and people managers to resolve employee concerns proactively.
  • Provide coaching to people managers on handling sensitive employee issues, promoting early intervention and resolution.
  • Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and Compliance to ensure alignment of people-related actions with regulatory standards.
  • Labor Relations & Regulatory Compliance
  • Maintain constructive relationships with DOLE and other regulatory bodies; prepare necessary reports and documentation.
  • Lead responses to external audits, legal notices, or inspections related to labor relations.
  • Ensure adherence to statutory requirements such as due process, documentation, and mandated reporting.
  • Analytics & Insights
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports on ER case trends, root causes, and closure rates.
  • Generate insights to inform leadership decisions and identify systemic issues requiring policy or behavior change.
  • Support initiatives aimed at case resolution efficiency and process improvement.
  • Culture & Capability Building
  • Support the creation of a culture of respect, inclusion, and accountability through training and awareness programs.
  • Coach people managers in ER case handling, investigation techniques, and policy application; Contribute to employee engagement by promoting fairness, transparency, and psychological safety in the workplace.

What You Need to Have

  • Minimum of 7 years’ progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in Employee Relations or Labor Relations management.
  • Deep understanding of Philippine Labor Code and related regulations.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Proven track record of managing complex cases and driving ER process improvements.
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across multiple levels and functions.
  • Experienced in workplace investigations
  • Skilled in handling sensitive cases like harassment, discrimination, or whistleblower complaints.
  • Strong facilitation skills for resolving interpersonal or team conflicts.

Deep understanding of local labor codes, jurisprudence, and regulatory trends.

  • Leading ER initiatives during restructures, or downsizing.
  • Supporting cultural transformation or large-scale policy rollouts.
  • Involvement in deploying ER case management systems
  • Digitizing workflows and integrating analytics into ER processes.
