In This Job You Will

The Digital Services Project Management Senior Specialist will be interfacing with potential and existing airline and rail customers to initiate, plan, execute, monitor/control and close out projects successfully. Additionally, the Project Manager will be closely coordinating with other internal customer facing groups such as the customer account team, delivery project managers, and the operations group. The role also heavily involves collaboration with internal agile teams of technical, functional and business domain experts to deliver websites, mobile apps, kiosk apps and other innovative digital solutions that help Navitaire customers maximize the potential of their digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support multiple teams by playing the role of Project Manager, ensuring smooth project execution and adherence to processes.
  • Implement Agile processes, principles and practices while fostering an Agile culture across the team to promote collaboration, adaptability, and continuous improvement.
  • Utilize the team’s estimated velocity in conjunction with the initial backlog to forecast project duration and identify potential release milestones. Regularly re-plan as actual velocity is determined and backlog is re-prioritized to ensure alignment with project goals.
  • Regularly communicate project status to both internal and external stakeholders through comprehensive status reports and verbal/visual presentations, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Influence the team and maintain focus on progress toward project goals while driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and outcomes.
  • Prepare and execute an effective change control process, along with a customer communication plan.
  • Schedule and facilitate iteration planning, review, and retrospective events to ensure effective Agile project management.
  • Track and manage project controls including risks, impediments and dependencies to ensure timely resolution and smooth project progress.
  • Track and report on User Story and Feature completion in accordance with Definition of Done.
  • Ensure that the project is managed within budget, time and quality targets, that it delivers the anticipated benefits outlined in the business case.
  • Utilize Power BI and other tools to generate metrics that identify actionable and measurable opportunities.
  • Manage multiple priorities and/or projects simultaneously without compromising the quality of work.
  • Assist in triaging support requests from customers, prioritizing and directing them to the appropriate channels for resolution.
  • Assist in the preparation of work orders for potential projects, ensuring clear documentation of project requirements and objectives.
  • Aid in managing the team’s document repository, ensuring organization, accessibility, and version control for relevant documents

About The Ideal Candidate

  • Must possess a University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or similar discipline.
  • Prior experience (at least 4 years) in any of the following: Project Management, Agile/Scrum Practice, Business/System Analysis, Software Quality Assurance, Software Development or other similar roles.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Project Manager managing and implementing projects in a software development environment with multi-function teams.
  • Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as proficient knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project and business environment.
  • Experience overseeing multi-function projects with at least 5 team members including Developers, Business Analysts, and QA Engineers.
  • Sufficient level of technical background to effectively collaborate with development teams and to be able to accurately and objectively evaluate complex project risks and issues.
  • Proven ability to manage software development projects and ensure objectives, goals, and commitments are met.
  • Good command of the English language (verbal and written) and can confidently communicate with customers and stakeholders within a business setting.
  • Comfortable in working directly with customers from different cultures.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of business needs, coupled with the ability to establish and maintain a high level of customer trust and confidence.
  • Proven discipline to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Have flexibility to occasionally attend early morning or evening calls (between 6:00am-8:00am or 8:00pm-11:00pm) when necessary to support a global customer base.
  • Amenable to work on a hybrid work setup (2-3 days a week onsite). Location: BGC, Taguig

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience with the Scrum framework
  • Familiarity with Project Management/ALM tools such as Azure DevOps (aka VSTS), Jira, Rally, VersionOne
  • Knowledge in creating Power BI reports
  • PMP or Scrum-related certifications
  • Prior experience in managing web app and/or mobile app projects
