Job Description

The Digital Credit Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management, optimization, and performance of the company’s digital credit products and processes. This role involves bridging the gap between core credit policy and digital execution, ensuring seamless, user-friendly, and risk-controlled digital loan origination, underwriting, and servicing. The primary objective is to drive profitable growth in the digital credit portfolio by improving conversion and efficiency across all online channels while strictly managing credit risk and adhering to regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do

  • Digital Credit Product Ownership & Strategy
  • Own the product vision and strategic roadmap for all digital credit products, including Digital POS, Digitally Assisted POS, and fully/partially digitized credit initiatives.
  • Lead the design and implementation of customer journeys for digital loan applications, focusing on optimizing user experience (UX) and maximizing conversion rates.
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new digital credit opportunities, product features, and partnership models.
  • Define, track, and be accountable for key product performance indicators (KPIs) such as user journey funnels, approval rates, credit risk performance, contract approval and sign rates.
  • Digital Credit Risk and Policy Implementation
  • Collaborate closely with the Risk team to translate credit policies and scoring models into the technical logic required for the digital decision engine.
  • Oversee the continuous testing and calibration of underwriting rules to balance portfolio risk quality (e.g., NPL/Default rates) and business growth targets.
  • Work with IT and Data Science teams to ensure the accurate flow and utilization of applicant data for real-time credit assessment and identity verification.
  • Process Digitization & Operational Excellence
  • Lead initiatives to digitize and continuously improve critical lending processes, including loan origination, e-contracting, and digital document submission.
  • Identify and eliminate friction points, manual steps, and operational bottlenecks within the digital loan lifecycle to enhance efficiency and reduce cost-to-serve.
  • Implement robust monitoring and control mechanisms to ensure process compliance, data accuracy, and timely issue resolution related to digital credit operations.
  • Drive the use of analytics to identify root causes of application drop-offs, rejection reasons, and process inefficiencies.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead, mentor, and develop direct reports, fostering a culture of accountability, data-driven decision-making, and excellence.
  • Act as the subject matter expert and primary point of contact for digital credit with key stakeholders across IT/Tech, Finance, Legal, Compliance, and Marketing.
  • Manage vendor relationships for key credit technology providers ensuring performance and alignment with business needs.

What You Should Have

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in Consumer Credit, Risk Management, or Product Management for lending products
  • Proven experience in managing and optimizing digital loan origination or high-volume credit applications.
  • Strong understanding of credit scoring models, decision engine logic, and digital lending workflows.
  • Experience with financial analysis, data manipulation (SQL/Python is a plus), and interpreting credit portfolio metrics.

What Can Set You Apart

  • MBA or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • PMP, Lean, or Six Sigma certification.
  • Experience with Machine Learning models or alternative data in credit scoring.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks for consumer lending in the Philippines.
