A fast-growing consumer-focused organization is seeking an experienced Beauty Business Director to lead and scale its beauty portfolio. This role will own the overall strategy, performance, and brand direction of the beauty business, ensuring strong commercial results while building distinctive, consumer-loved brands. The ideal candidate brings deep beauty industry experience, strong brand management expertise, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
This role carries full ownership of the beauty business, spanning strategy, brand building, commercial performance, and team leadership.
Business & P&L Leadership
Own the end-to-end performance of the beauty unit, including P&L management, revenue growth, margin optimization, and cost control.
Set clear short- and long-term business strategies aligned with overall company objectives.
Translate market opportunities into scalable, profitable business initiatives.
Brand Strategy & Management
Lead brand vision, positioning, and portfolio strategy across beauty categories (e.g., skincare, cosmetics, personal care).
Ensure consistent brand identity, messaging, and execution across all consumer touchpoints (digital, retail, e-commerce, campaigns).
Drive product storytelling and brand differentiation in a highly competitive beauty market.
Product & Innovation Leadership
Oversee product development and innovation pipelines, from concept to launch.
Partner with R&D, product, and supply chain teams to deliver high-quality, on-trend beauty products.
Use consumer insights, market trends, and data to inform product decisions and innovation priorities.
Marketing & Go-to-Market Execution
Lead integrated marketing strategies including brand campaigns, influencer/KOL collaborations, social media, and performance marketing.
Ensure strong go-to-market plans, launch excellence, and post-launch performance tracking.
Work closely with media, growth, and creative teams to maximize brand reach and ROI.
Commercial & Channel Strategy
Develop channel strategies across e-commerce, marketplaces, retail, and partnerships.
Collaborate with sales and commercial teams to drive distribution, visibility, and sell-through.
Monitor competitive landscape, pricing, and promotions to maintain brand competitiveness.
People & Cross-Functional Leadership
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing brand, marketing, and product teams.
Act as the central point of coordination across marketing, sales, operations, finance, and external partners.
Foster a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.
Qualifications & Experience
Proven leadership experience in the beauty or personal care industry (mandatory).
Strong background in brand management, brand strategy, and portfolio leadership.
Experience owning or significantly influencing P&L and commercial outcomes.
Track record of successfully launching and scaling beauty brands or product lines.
Deep understanding of consumer behavior, trends, and digital-first brand building.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
