Associate QA Engineer

Purpose of the Role

The position is responsible for testing Navitaire complex airline application software to ensure that products meet acceptable standards and end-user requirements. The position will specialize in defining test requirements and creating and executing automated tests for the assigned Navitaire application. The role requires collaboration with business analysts, developers, and other product engineering members from both the Manila and US teams. The position will receive functional, technical, and administrative supervision from a team lead but is expected to balance independent and collaborative work.

In This Role Youll

• Work with the agile development team in refining requirements and defining test coverage, with supervision and guidance from a senior QA.
• Create automated test scripts and perform different levels of product testing, including integration, regression, and exploratory testing through automated tests (manual tests in limited situations).
• Ensure product testing is completed within guidelines and according to standards.
• Contribute to the tracking and resolution of bugs, including reporting bugs, recreating them as necessary, and validating resolved bugs.
• Initiate, identify, and implement improvements to the test process and procedures with the goal of improving quality and efficiency.

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• Proficient in English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in a dynamic and diverse environment.
• Collaborative and effective communicator, motivated to learn.
• Detail-oriented and proactive.
• Solid technical foundation, knowledgeable in C#/.Net or similar programming language.
