Job Description

An HPLC (High-Performance Liquid Chromatography) Application Specialist, will act as both a technical authority and a trusted advisor

to customers and internal teams. This role requires not only deep expertise in chromatographic techniques and instrumentation, but

also the ability to communicate effectively, manage priorities under pressure, and collaborate across diverse teams.

General Responsibilities:

  • Technical Application Specialist


 Develop, validate, and optimize HPLC/UPLC methods tailored to customer requirements.

 Troubleshoot instrumentation and method issues remotely or on-site.

 Analyze customer samples and provide clear, actionable results and recommendations.

 Maintain up-to-date knowledge on chromatographic advancements

and regulatory guidelines.

  • Customer Engagement & Training


 Conduct hands-on and virtual training sessions on HPLC systems, software, and best practices.

 Lead application demonstrations during pre-sales evaluations and post-installation support.

 Translate complex technical concepts into user-friendly language for diverse customer profiles.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration


 Partner with sales, service, and product teams to ensure smooth customer onboarding and satisfaction.

 Provide feedback from the field to R&D and marketing for product improvement and innovation.

 Assist in writing technical documentation, SOPs, and application notes.

  • Sales & Marketing Support


 Support commercial teams with technical presentations, seminars, and workshops.

 Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and customer visits as the subject matter expert.

 Help craft marketing content from a scientific/technical perspective.

  • Compliance & Documentation


 Ensure adherence to industry-specific regulatory standards (e.g., GMP, GLP, ISO).

 Keep detailed documentation of support cases, customer interactions, and project outcomes.

Work Experience:

3+ years of hands-on experience with HPLC/UPLC systems (e.g., Agilent, Waters, Shimadzu, Thermo).

 Solid understanding of chromatographic theory and regulatory standards (e.g., USP, ICH).

 Experience with data analysis software such as ChemStation, OpenLab CDS and Mass Hunter.

 Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

 Willingness to travel to customer sites and attend industry events

Education:

B.Sc./M.Sc./Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific field.
