As a Health and Group Benefits Consultant, you will consult on a wide variety of complex projects involving the design, pricing, funding, implementation, and management of a full array of Health and Group Benefits programs including medical, dental, life insurance, etc. You will serve as the project manager and day-to-day communication liaison with our clients, create client deliverables, contribute to client management and new business activities, and participate in the creation of new intellectual capital.
Part of your responsibilities are as follows;
Responsible for managing customer relationships in the area of benefits and generating new business to achieve financial results for the area. (90% of the time)
Liaise with HMO/insurer on special employee needs (like arranging APEs or executive check-ups), especially on senior executives’ needs
Analyze available funding options (e.g. HMO, life insurance, TPA, etc)
Collect utilization data
Design alternative plans to suit client needs (e.g. offer to increase or decrease MBL, remove certain benefits to lower rates, etc.)
Define the scope of the methodology and proposal preparation and consulting contracts
Project management of complex clients, guaranteeing delivery on time, within budget, and with high quality
Manage HGB vendor renewals and negotiations
Design efficient plan designs and funding arrangements that fit client goals
Know the national and local HGB vendor marketplaces and leverage that knowledge on clients’ behalf
Demonstrate proficient writing, and oral presentation skills in client reports, recommendations, and presentations
Conduct lectures for leaders/employees when there is/are: implementation of new benefit; change of benefit (design or vendor); specific campaigns; a new group of hires
Provide periodic reports informing the performance of the medical plan, including loss ratio, frequency of use, member profile, etc.
Provide annual benchmarking comparison
Analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the plan funding model (insured or self-insured); development of performance indicators for monitoring results
Legislative updates: communicate Human Resources team any changes in local laws related to group life insurance, medical and dental benefits; and potential direct and/or indirect impacts on the company’s current benefits programs
Preparing Sales and Account Management reports as may be directed by your People Manager
Manage Compliance requirements for contracting
Use the Tools of WTW in operationalizing Client Servicing

Excellent ability to communicate effectively with a strong focus on customer service
Good oral and written communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint);
