AI Product Design Apprentice

LOKAL is a tech marketing and strategy company rebuilt with AI from the ground up. We help businesses grow through AI, search, content, automation, and digital systems — we redesign how work gets done, not just run campaigns.

We're opening our AI Product Design Apprenticeship — 2–4 paid, full-time spots for technical people with real design taste who use AI to design, build, and ship actual product.

You'll work at the bleeding edge of practical AI for business, with the most advanced AI stack in the world in your hands.

Start date: August 3, 2026 · 6-month paid contract · Full-time · Remote-first · Based in the Philippines

This is for fresh graduates, career shifters, and early-career builders with a Computer Science, IT, or ICT background and a strong design bent. You do not need to be a current student.

This is not a passive program. It's for people who want to design and ship.

What You'll Do

You'll own the full loop, from design to working product:

• Design real product with taste — what actually works for a business and its customers
• Use AI to build your design into a working product, not just a mockup or a prototype
• Understand what's under the hood: how the code and APIs connect, enough to know why something breaks
• Judge whether what you shipped actually works, then iterate
• Teach AI what good design and good product look like, and get sharper every cycle

• Technical — you understand code and how APIs connect things, enough to build with AI and debug what you ship
• Design-obsessed — real taste; you sweat layout, hierarchy, interaction, and detail
• Product-minded — you think about the user and the business, not just the interface
• All-in on AI — you use it constantly and can teach it what "good" looks like
• High accountability — you own outcomes and ship
• A fast learner who ships useful work quickly

You don't need years of experience. You do need to be the kind of person who opens a new tool and thinks: "How do I build something useful with this?"

This Role Is Great For

Fresh graduates, career shifters, early-career builders — and exceptional students — with a technical base and a strong design bent. Strongest fits:

• Computer Science
• Information Technology / ICT
• Computer or Software Engineering
• Related technical programs, with genuine design skill

Design, HCI, or product backgrounds welcome — if you're genuinely technical.

Requirements

• A portfolio or samples of design work (school, side, or self-initiated all count)
• Technical enough to understand code and how APIs connect to different systems
• Available to start full-time on August 3, 2026 (firm start date)
• Based in the Philippines, comfortable working remotely
• Strong written and verbal English
• Curious, fast with new tools, and detail-obsessed
