Job Summary

Indirect Procurement is responsible for creating and managing diverse strategic supplier partnerships that drive enterprise value with innovation, best cost and competitive advantages that benefit customers, suppliers and patients. Develops and executes strategic plans by leveraging market intelligence, industry knowledge and cross-functional collaboration. Competitive advantage is created through supplier selection and management, contract negotiation, supply chain optimization and risk mitigation. Responsible for developing and executing strategy to source indirect goods and services to support our business stakeholders and programs. Perform analysis in order to select supplier and negotiate best value for Cardinal Health. Provide supplier relationship management and contract compliance management, including maximization of financial deliverables and risk mitigation. May work within various procurement systems to execute purchase orders and resolve technical issues as identified.

Accountabilities

  • Conducts an in-depth analysis of procurement data to identify trends, cost drivers, and potential savings opportunities.
  • Perform price/cost analysis, evaluate supplier performance, and find opportunities to reduce total cost
  • Develops and implements data-driven solutions to complex procurement challenges.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports and presentations to communicate findings.
  • Proactively identify areas for process improvement and data quality enhancement.
  • Analyze market and industry trends to inform sourcing strategies.
  • Provides operational and reporting support regarding indirect spend for the enterprise.
  • Responsible for analyzing data and summarizing results for leadership.
  • Drive purchasing discipline and compliance with internal stakeholders.
  • Performs audits of policy and procedure conformance and develops summary reports for submission to management.
  • Identify and execute efficiencies using automation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • BA, BS, or equivalent experience in related field
  • 4-6 years of experience in related field, preferred
  • Strategic Sourcing (indirect or direct), Data Analytics, and Data Analysis, preferred
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates a strong financial acumen.
  • Well versed in using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) tools.
  • Experience using Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Python, BI tools.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software like SAP and SAP Ariba is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills with the ability to work cross functionally and inclusively.
