The Mid-Level Revenue Accountant is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of revenue recognition and collection activities, primarily for Custom Development and Product lines. This includes recording journal entries, monitoring trade receivables, performing variance analysis, and preparing client billings. The role also supports tax compliance efforts and maintains proper financial documentation in alignment with audit and regulatory requirements.
Duties And Responsibilities
Revenue Assurance and Recognition
Verify the completeness and accuracy of monthly revenues using settlement reports.
Record and recognize revenue entries and accruals in SAP or other accounting systems.
Generate invoices and process billing for clients, telecom companies, and business partners.
Conduct revenue variance analysis and prepare financial reports for business decision-making.
Credit and Collection Monitoring
Monitor aging of trade receivables and follow up on outstanding balances.
Manage customer collections, deposit checks, and reconcile bank transactions.
Collect, file, and track BIR Form 2306/2307 (Certificate of Tax Withheld).
Ensure timely and accurate posting of all collection-related transactions.
Finance Documentation and Journal Entries
Maintain organized records of invoices, official receipts, bank statements, and other financial documents.
Archive contracts, agreements, conforme letters, memos, and key email correspondence.
Prepare journal vouchers and ensure accurate posting of accounting entries.
Tax Compliance and Management
Ensure timely and accurate filing and payment of applicable taxes in compliance with regulations.
Support internal and external audit requirements, including tax compliance documentation.
Coordinate with the BIR for tax audits, verifications, and related concerns.
Ad Hoc Financial Support
Prepare special reports and schedules as requested by management.
Facilitate accurate disbursement of approved petty cash to correct GCash wallets, including proper recording.
Manage validation and journal entries for business transportation expenses
Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, preferably a CPA license holder.
Related Experience: Minimum of 3 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in revenue accounting, billing, and collections.
Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems, general ledger functions, revenue recognition, and month-end/year-end close processes is highly desirable.
Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the following:
Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS)
Philippine Accounting Standards (PAS)
Philippine Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Applicable tax regulations and BIR compliance requirements (including 2306/2307 forms, VAT, and withholding tax)
Revenue recognition principles and audit documentation practices
Internal controls related to accounts receivable and revenue assurance
Familiarity with invoicing for telco and custom development/product-based businesses
Proficiency
Advanced proficiency in SAP or similar ERP accounting systems
Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, and data analytics), and
Comfortable with digital tools for tax filing and financial documentation
Skills
Effective communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
High attention to detail and accuracy
Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work independently while being a proactive and contributing team member
