We are seeking a talented individual to join our Facility Commercial Team at Mercer. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
Your role as a broker act as an intermediary between a client and an insurer, or between an insurer and a reinsurer. Your role is to analyse clients’ risk portfolios, develop and recommend innovative solutions to their insurance needs, and negotiate transactions in their best interests. You will play an important role in day-to-day administrative support.
We will count on you to:
- Proactively assists Broker in most aspects of policy management, proposal preparation and presentation creation to better serve clients.
- Performs basic to more complex clerical functions, including but not limited to, photocopying, faxing, scanning, word processing and filing to assist Broker.
- Prepares and issues invoices to clients and identifies and resolves billing problems to ensure accurate records are delivered to clients and maintained internally.
- Helps Brokers regarding coverage questions and program adjustments to maintain policies and ensure policies are up to date.
- Build and maintains ongoing relationships with small clients and team colleagues to deliver services both internally, and in some cases, externally.
- Provides assistance to Broker regarding coverage questions and program adjustments.
- May demonstrate the ability to enter new bonds, upload documents, client demographics, process renewals, etc., under some supervision.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/ communication/ finance
- At least 2+ years of experience in similar field of client facing, account management experience, and good negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both writing and speaking
- Must have valuable experience in using MS office.
