The Opportunity

When you join PwC Acceleration Centers (ACs) as a Solution Architect & Engineering Lead, you will have the opportunity to shape scalable architectures using Java and .NET technologies while leading cloud and DevSecOps initiatives on platforms like Azure and AWS. You will define testing strategies, oversee multiple delivery streams, and manage financial and quality metrics to ensure successful project outcomes. Engaging closely with clients and stakeholders, you will drive technical leadership and support business growth. This role offers a chance to mentor diverse teams and contribute to innovation within PwC’s managed services environment.

Responsibilities

Solution Architecture & Engineering Leadership

• Define scalable architecture using Java (Spring Boot, Microservices) and/or .NET Core / ASP.NET Core
• Lead API-first and microservices-based solution design
• Govern secure coding practices and enterprise architecture standards
• Oversee performance engineering, scalability, and resilience strategies
• Review and approve HLD/LLD documentation
• Establish reusable frameworks and engineering accelerators
  
  

Cloud & DevSecOps Enablement

• Architect and oversee deployments on Microsoft Azure and/or AWS
• Establish CI/CD standards using Azure DevOps / Jenkins / Git-based pipelines
• Lead containerization strategy using Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS preferred)
• Implement DevSecOps controls, infrastructure-as-code practices, and automated quality gates
• Drive monitoring, logging, and observability implementation
  
  

Quality Engineering & Testing Governance

• Define end-to-end testing strategy (Functional, SIT, UAT, Regression, Performance)
• Lead both manual and automation testing workstreams
• Establish automation frameworks (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, etc.)
• Integrate automated testing within CI/CD pipelines
• Define and track quality KPIs (defect leakage, test coverage, automation coverage)
• Drive shift-left testing and quality engineering best practices
  
  

Delivery & Financial Accountability

• Manage multi-workstream delivery across engineering and QA tracks
• Own effort estimation, budgeting, resource allocation, and utilization targets
• Ensure adherence to SLAs, quality standards, and margin expectations
• Proactively identify risks and implement mitigation strategies
• Provide executive-level status reporting and governance updates
  
  

Client & Stakeholder Leadership

• Serve as primary technical and delivery escalation point
• Conduct architecture workshops and design review sessions
• Engage with client CIO/CTO teams and program leadership
• Support RFP responses, solutioning, and practice growth initiatives
  
  

Talent Development & Practice Building

• Lead and mentor cross-functional teams (Developers, QA Engineers, DevOps)
• Conduct code and test framework reviews
• Drive capability development across Java, .NET, Cloud, and QA domains
• Contribute to internal accelerators and thought leadership within CED
  
  

What You Must Have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
• 7 - 11 years of relevant experience in .NET development (C#, .NET Core/.NET 6+, ASP.NET Core) delivering enterprise applications (or equivalent project experience) and Java with demonstrated QA leadership exposure
• 3+ years of experience in delivery leadership roles
• Cloud certification (Azure/AWS) preferred
• Agile / SAFe exposure preferred
