The Opportunity

When you join PwC managed services as a Data Engineer – Experienced Associate, you take on a key role in designing, building, and optimizing scalable Databricks-based data solutions that support enterprise data and analytics platforms. You will focus on building meaningful client relationships while deepening your technical expertise and navigating complex situations. By anticipating stakeholder needs and delivering quality outcomes, you contribute to continuous improvement and operational excellence within a managed services environment. You will apply critical thinking to solve data engineering challenges, interpret data to generate valuable insights, develop business context awareness, and uphold PwC’s professional and technical standards.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, Spark SQL, Delta Lake).
• Implement Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).
• Optimize Spark workloads and cluster performance.
• Integrate Databricks with cloud storage and orchestration tools.
• Implement data quality monitoring and reconciliation checks.
• Support production operations including incident resolution and root cause analysis.
  
  

What You Must Have

• Minimum Degree Required (BQ): Bachelor’s Degree
• Minimum Year(s) of Experience: 1 to 3 year(s)
• Required Knowledge/Skills (BQ): Oral and written proficiency in English
  
  

What Sets You Apart

• Strong experience with Databricks, including PySpark and Spark SQL
• Expertise in Delta Lake and Spark performance testing
• Advanced proficiency in Python and SQL
• Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GC
