We are seeking a talented individual to join our Facility Commercial Team at Mercer. This role will be based in Manila, Philippines. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
This position is a combined role in account management and broking functions within Health & Benefits Consulting . This role operates under moderate supervision, handling routine and structured tasks while supporting Analysts and Consultants throughout the marketing and renewal processes. Key responsibilities include managing reporting, preparing financial documentation, and contributing to business growth through client retention, expansion, and acquisition of new business opportunities.
We will count on you to:
- Support the consulting team by gathering, organizing, entering, and analyzing data essential for various client projects and initiatives.
- Proactively follow up with clients and existing vendors to resolve missing, incomplete, or inaccurate information, ensuring data integrity.
- Collect benchmarking utilization and rate data from vendors through Requests for Proposal (RFPs), and summarize findings for presentation by senior team members.
- Compile and organize client and vendor plan design data to facilitate analysis of healthcare plan consolidations, marketing strategies, and cost impacts.
- Identify and capitalize on revenue-generating opportunities within assigned accounts.
- Assist in account retention efforts to maintain and grow existing business relationships.
- Take a proactive approach to account management and service delivery, ensuring client needs are anticipated and met in accordance with agreed service standards.
- Develop foundational knowledge of vendor/carrier markets, underwriting principles, financial concepts, products, services, and technical tools through formal training, online learning, and mentorship from experienced colleagues.
- Assist in preparing client presentations by creating data summaries and charts in Excel for inclusion in PowerPoint decks; draft presentations are reviewed and refined by senior team members prior to client delivery.
- Maintain up-to-date client files, ensuring all correspondence and client information are accurately documented and accessible.
What you need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in business/ communication/ finance
- At least 3+ years of experience in similar field of client facing, account management experience, and good negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both writing and speaking
- Must have valuable experience in using MS office.
