As part of our Managed Services Enterprise Applications team, the Oracle HCM Consultant (Functional Consultant) will play a key role in delivering secure, scalable, and resilient Oracle Human Capital Management (HCM) solutions across our energy and utilities client environments. The role is expected to partner with HR, Payroll, Talent, Workforce Management, and business stakeholders to design, configure, and support Oracle HCM processes across the full delivery lifecycle within NRIs ITIL-managed services framework.

 

You will be responsible for translating business requirements into fit-to-standard Oracle HCM solutions, delivering configuration and enhancements across modules such as Core HR, Talent Management, Recruitment, and Absence Management, while participating in testing and deployment activities. The consultant will provide production support, troubleshooting issues end-to-end, and work closely with technical teams, integration specialists, security administrators, and other functional consultants to resolve defects and deliver continuous improvements.

 

Strong functional knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud, clear documentation, and effective stakeholder communication are essential to ensure stable operations, regulatory compliance, and successful business outcomes. The role requires a customer-focused mindset, strong problem-solving capability, and the ability to support business transformation initiatives while maintaining high service standards within a managed services environment.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead end-to-end configuration and support for Oracle HCM Cloud processes across incidents, service requests, and minor enhancements, ensuring alignment with business and compliance requirements.
  • Gather and document business requirements; translate them into functional designs, configuration specifications, and fit-to-standard Oracle HCM solutions across HCM modules.
  • Configure, test, and deploy Oracle HCM system changes, including workflows, approval rules, security roles, fast formulas, business rules, page personalisations, and reports, in accordance with change management processes.
  • Perform and support unit testing, System Integration Testing (SIT), and User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, script preparation, defect triage, and coordination of issue resolution.
  • Provide production support through incident investigation, root cause analysis, data correction guidance, and collaboration with technical, integration, and Oracle support teams to resolve complex issues.
  • Develop and maintain functional documentation, including business process maps, configuration workbooks, solution designs, knowledge articles, training materials, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support integrations and downstream impacts across enterprise systems, coordinating with integration and technical teams as required.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to streamline HR processes, improve employee and manager self-service capabilities, increase automation, and enhance user adoption through SME training and knowledge transfer.
  • Provide guidance on Oracle HCM best practices, release management, and quarterly update impacts, ensuring business stakeholders are informed and system capabilities are effectively leveraged.

 

What We’re Looking For:

Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of proven experience across Core HR, Time and Labor, Talent Management, Learning and Performance Management.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting Oracle HCM within a Managed Services model, balancing operational support and continuous improvement.
  • Experience working within an ITIL framework, managing incidents, service requests, problem management, change management within client SLAs.
  • Ability to design, configure, test, and deploy Oracle HCM solutions using fit-to-standard and best-practice approaches.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to build trusted relationships and provide advisory services to clients.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate business and technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate workshops, analyse business requirements, and translate them into functional solutions and process improvements.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience managing complex incidents, root cause analysis, and issue resolution.
  • Ability to work effectively with technical teams, integration specialists, security administrators, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end solutions.
