Level 1 Accountant

We are looking for offshore accountants with mandatory Australian public practice experience. Roles will primarily focus on year-end compliance work for Australian clients.

We are looking for candidates who are interested in a long-term role and who place value on the team, quality of work, development and stability - not candidates whose primary motivation for moving is simply a salary increase.

Strong written and spoken English is essential for both roles.

Level 1 – Accountant

Experience

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in an Australian public practice accounting firm
  
• Business services / tax experience is essential
  

Expected technical capability

The Level 1 Accountant will primarily focus on:

• Preparation of individual income tax returns
  
• Preparation of Business Activity Statements and Instalment Activity Statements
  
• Year-end compliance for simpler entities
  
• Preparation of workpapers and supporting documentation
  
• Basic company and trust compliance where appropriate to their experience
  

While exposure to companies and trusts is desirable, we expect this role will initially have a greater focus on individual tax returns and less complex compliance work.

We generally do not undertake bookkeeping, so candidates whose experience is predominantly bookkeeping would not be suitable.
