Role Location: Taguig, Metro Manila

AI PLATFORM ENGINEER MANAGER

Lead the design and evolution of JTI’s enterprise AI platform, enabling scalable, secure, and high-performing GenAI solutions across global markets at JTI GBS Manila! This role combines deep technical expertise with strategic leadership to drive LLMOps, AI governance, and platform innovation. You will work at the forefront of Azure AI technologies, shaping how data scientists and developers access and operationalize AI at scale.

What Youll Do:

•  AI Platform Governance & LLMOps: Define engineering standards for secure AI consumption, RAG pipelines, and agentic frameworks while optimizing inference performance, cost efficiency, and model reliability
• AI Infrastructure & Architecture: Design scalable and secure AI infrastructure leveraging Azure OpenAI, API Management, AI Search, and Databricks aligned with enterprise architecture and security standards
• CI/CD & Automation: Build and maintain automated pipelines for infrastructure, model configurations, and deployment processes using IaC (Terraform/Bicep) and scripting
• Observability & Monitoring: Implement advanced monitoring for token usage, latency, error rates, and cost metrics to ensure platform performance and stability
• Incident Management & Operations: Lead troubleshooting of critical platform issues and manage AI quotas, scaling strategies, and system reliability
• Innovation & Platform Evolution: Drive PoCs, evaluate emerging AI technologies, and continuously improve platform capabilities and engineering efficiency
• Data Integration & RAG Engineering: Architect pipelines for data ingestion, embedding strategies, and vector search optimization to support high-quality AI outputs
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with data engineers, security architects, and vendors to onboard consumers and deliver robust AI solutions

What Were Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as Data Engineer, technical lead experience is highly preferred
• At least 2-3 years experience with AI platforms is required
• Hands-on experience in Azure infrastructure for data services in enterprise environments
• Strong hands-on experience with IaC (Terraform or Bicep) and CI/CD pipelines
• Proven experience working with Azure OpenAI, AI Search, AI Foundry, and RAG architectures
• Deep understanding of LLMs, inference optimization, agentic frameworks, and vector search strategies
• Experience with Azure Data Lakes, Databricks, and Data Factory
• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture, networking (VNETs, Private Links), and API management
• Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
• Experience leading technical discussions with vendors and cross-functional teams
• Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
