Plan International Pilipinas is a leading non-government organization committed to empowering children and youth to live free from poverty, violence, and inequality. We seek a dynamic and results-oriented Regional Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) Coordinator to join our team.
About The Role
As a Regional MERL Coordinator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation and management of MERL activities across designated program areas. Your responsibilities will include:
Training and Mentoring: Providing training and mentorship to program staff and partner organizations on MERL best practices, including data collection, analysis, and ethical considerations.
Reporting: Preparing periodic monitoring reports and sharing key findings with stakeholders to inform strategic decision-making.
Alignment: Collaborating with the MERL Manager and program teams to align MERL activities with the countrys strategy and annual plans.
Capacity Building: Guiding project teams to develop results frameworks and apply appropriate tools, especially in projects without dedicated M&E staff.
Partnerships: Building and maintaining partnerships with government and non-government agencies for participatory action research and evaluation.
Emergency Response: Supporting emergency response activities when needed.
Qualifications
Graduate degree in a relevant field with 4-5 years of experience in M&E, research, and project management.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
Knowledge of participatory, gender-sensitive, and inclusive MERL approaches and methodologies.
Experience in supporting, coaching, and training staff on MERL practices.
Proficiency in using digital data collection tools.
Excellent command of both oral and written English.
Strong human relations skills.
Willingness to travel frequently for fieldwork and to be deployed for emergency response activities.
Filipino nationality and based in the Philippines.
