Automation Test Analyst

We’re seeking an Automation Test Analyst to support the delivery of high‑quality, secure, and scalable insurance platforms. You’ll work closely with developers, analysts, and platform teams to plan, execute, and evolve testing practices across both functional and automated testing. This role is ideal for a QA professional who is technically curious, values quality engineering, and is comfortable starting hands‑on as a functional QA while growing deeper into modern test automation.

This is a permanent full-time role based in Gadigal Country (Darling Park 2, Sydney) or Naarm (Melbourne).

What Youll Do

• Plan, manage, execute, and report on testing activities across complex enterprise applications
• Perform context‑based and risk‑based testing to identify and manage quality risks
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using modern automation frameworks
• Collaborate closely with developers, analysts, and platform teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Support CI/CD pipelines by monitoring test execution, analysing failures, and improving coverage
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing tools, frameworks, and ways of working
  
  

• 2-3 years hands‑on experience in QA and testing, with willingness to spend time initially as a functional QA.
• Technical test automation skills using: TypeScript, Playwright, Node.js
• Experience working with GitHub for version control and collaboration
• API testing capability (REST APIs, payload validation, integration testing)
• Understanding of test automation within CI/CD environments
• Experience or interest in AI literacy, including leveraging AI‑driven prompts to improve testing, productivity, or analysis
• Exposure to the Guidewire suite of applications or to other similar insurance focussed applications would be an advantage but is not essential.
