This position is physically located in the Philippines in support of LOGCAP***
Under the supervision of the Facilities Operation & Maintenance – Master Electrician, the electricians will assist the Master Electrician in the execution and delivery of extensive technical services related to Facilities Maintenance for the electrical distribution systems and facilities (LV and ELV) across multiple locations within the V2X account, particularly at Agila Shipyard Subic, located in Subic Bay Freeport, Philippines. The Electrician installs, inspects, troubleshoots, repairs, operates, and maintains electrical systems and components of electrical power distribution and generating equipment. Performs operations and maintenance duties to maintain power to telecommunications equipment, and maintains the facility’s physical electrical distribution system in good repair. Electrical work experience includes electrical installation in commercial and industrial categories. Electrician complies with National Electrical Code (NEC) 2008 for repairs and upgrades to existing construction, and NEC 2011 standards apply for new construction, contract specifications, and MIL Standards/Regulations.
Responsibilities

Coordinates and executes preventive and corrective maintenance troubleshooting and repairs on facility electrical systems and apparatuses.
Install, perform routine evaluations, inspections, Maintain, and repairs Main Power Distribution Systems, Panel Boards, and indoor/outdoor lighting systems.
Monitors and tests of various electrical distribution systems.
Responds to emergency power outages and backup system failures.
Maintains accountability and serviceability of assigned tool sets and equipment.
Required to operate high lifts, bucket truck, boom truck, or man lift in repairing, maintaining, and installing electrical distribution systems and equipment.
Records and reports all faults, deficiencies, and other unusual occurrences, as well as the time and materiel expended on work orders.
Ensures compliance with NEC, MEW, local Host Nation electrical codes, Performance Work Statement, and applicable regulations.
Troubleshooting and Repair: Identify electrical issues and carry out routine maintenance, which includes testing and replacing faulty components. Resolving electrical problems and implementing solutions to correct issues. Assess major system failures and equipment malfunctions and execute repairs and maintenance on electrical devices. Reviewing finished work and diagnosing electrical problems. Expertise in different electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting systems, low voltage systems, and extra low voltage systems.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
High School/GED/Associates preferred, 5+ years’ experience.
Required Aerial & Scissor Lift or Mobile Elevated Work Platform (MEWP) Certification and Training.
Required either one BOSH, COSH, DOLE SO1, or SO2 qualifications.
Required valid PH Driver’s License (Code B or B1).
TESDA Scaffolding Erections & Scaffolding Works NC-2 Certification is an advantage.
Possessing OSHA, NEBOSH, IOSH, or Fire Safety qualifications is an advantage.
Having Level 1 Thermographer qualifications and having a minimum of 1 to 3 years of experience in conducting Annual Electrical Thermal Scanning inspections, testing, and corrective maintenance is an advantage.
Must be Filipino Citizen
Experience:
Must possess appropriate knowledge and experience in Facilities Operation and Maintenance Management.
Required minimum of 5 years of practical experience in Electrical Systems and Facilities electrical installation, construction, and preventive/corrective maintenance, whether locally or internationally.
Must have an excellent understanding of all safety directives and policy regarding the operation of equipment.
Knowledge & Experience in MEP, & HVAC systems is an advantage.
Required strong background in electrical systems and the operation, maintenance, & troubleshooting of facilities, including various electrical equipment such as distribution transformers, generators, automatic transfer switches (ATS), low voltage and extra low voltage main distribution boards (MDB), sub-main distribution boards (SMDB), final distribution boards (FDBs), electrical control panels, cables/wirings, lighting systems, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), relays, contactors, circuit breakers (including VCB, MCCB, MCB, RCB, and RCBO), isolators, lightning arresters, earthing or grounding systems, motors, pumps, FDAS, & Door Access Controls is essential. It is crucial to recognize that having knowledge and experience with Annual Electrical Shutdown Activities (including high voltage, medium voltage, and low voltage electrical systems), as well as PTW, MOS, HIRAC, & LOTO procedures.
Required experience in overseeing the electrical systems and facilities of a shipyard, drydock, or critical environment such as power plants, substations, military facilities, or data centers).
Required experience in using Maximo, for the creation and tracking of service/work orders.
Possessing expertise in Energy Management and Sustainability initiatives is an advantage.
Outstanding proficiency in both spoken and written English.
Capability to think creatively and provide innovative solutions.
Skills:
Thorough knowledge of Electrical Codes Philippine / USA.
Must have basic computer skills and Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Safety, Quality, & Environmental Awareness in Electrical Systems & Facilities Preventive Maintenance Execution and Troubleshooting.
Basic Knowledge in different Electrical Testing such as:
Multi meters, Insulation Resistance Testing (IR), Power Analyzer Recording, Grounding Testing, Transformer, Turns Ratio Test (TTR), Winding Resistance Test (WRT), Hi-Potential (HIPOT) Test, Power Factor Test (PFT), Relays Pick Up Test, & Thermal Scanning Inspection/Testing.
Knowledge in Generator Testing, Operation and Maintenance: Load Testing / Load Bank Testing, No-Load Testing, Troubleshooting
Basic knowledge of Maximo and Microsoft Office 2013/2016 Suite
Working Conditions:
Must be capable of working in an extreme weather condition with temperatures averaging from 60 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Indoor and/or outdoor environment with very adverse and harsh conditions (i.e., hot, humid, tropical environment with extreme weather condition, rain, wind, typhoons, humidity conditions.
Includes some industrial production environment conditions as well.
Physical Requirements:
Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes, but is not limited to, head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
