About This Opportunity

This position is a high level non-supervisory QC position, combining all the skills of an inspector 2 plus the additional computer and process development skills needed to improve the overall functioning of the quality department.

Responsibilities

• Supports all inspection processes including but not limited to creating and checking documentation packages such as First Article reports and SPC reports
• Development and documentation of inspection processes to improve inspection speed and/or accuracy
• Database programming and development in support of records automation
• Other process automation
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, operations staff, and leadership
• Work with internal and external teams to address quality issues and implement corrective actions
  
  

Requirements

Education and Experience

This position requires a minimum of 5 years’ previous Inspection experience in a metal fabrication environment, at least 2 of which must have been at the Inspector 2 level (applicable for internal applicants). However, depending on other factors such as education, programming certifications, high score on programming / measuring tools test a candidate with less experience may be considered for hire or promotion.

Knowledge / Skills

All knowledge and skills required for the Inspector 2 position, plus:

• Faro Arm, Database, or other inspection software expertise.
• Solidworks skills including complex 3D part creation
