We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing a curriculum that prepares children for kindergarten, fostering a love of learning, and ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. This role requires strong leadership, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.
Duties
Develop and implement a comprehensive curriculum that meets educational standards and fosters child development.
Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment.
Plan and execute daily lessons and activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional growth.
Assess the developmental needs of each child and tailor activities to meet those needs.
Monitor and document student progress, communicating regularly with parents and guardians.
Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and conflict resolution strategies.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all children at all times.
Collaborate with assistant teachers and other staff to maintain a cohesive and supportive teaching environment.
Organize and participate in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and professional development opportunities.
Maintain a clean and organized classroom, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
Requirements
Associated or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience teaching in a Pre-K or early childhood setting.
Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum and activities.
Strong organizational and classroom management skills.
CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Nice To Haves
Bilingual abilities.
Experience with diverse learning needs and inclusive teaching practices.
Additional certifications or training in early childhood education or child development.
Proficiency with educational technology and digital tools.
