Job Description

About Our Group

As a Commodity Management Intern, you will dive into the heart of our supply chain, focusing on the electronic components that power our latest consumer devices. You will support the Global Procurement team in managing high-volume commodities (like semiconductors, displays, or batteries), analyzing market volatility, and ensuring our products hit the shelves on time and on budget.

About The Role - You Will

  • Market Analysis: Track global price trends and lead times for key electronic components (MLCCs, Memory, Chipsets) to help predict supply shifts.
  • Cost Management: Assist in maintaining "Should-Cost" models and tracking Purchase Price Variance (PPV) to protect product margins.
  • Supplier Relations: Support the quarterly business review (QBR) process by gathering performance data on quality, delivery, and cost.
  • Lifecycle Tracking: Monitor "End-of-Life" (EOL) notifications to ensure we have enough stock for current production and future repairs.
  • Data Integrity: Clean and manage large datasets within our ERP system (SAP/Oracle) to ensure 100% accuracy in parts sourcing and inventory.
  • Sustainability: Support "Responsible Sourcing" initiatives, ensuring components meet environmental standards and ethical mineral sourcing.

About You

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • You live in Excel (Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs are second nature) and have an interest in data visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
  • You have a basic understanding of what goes inside a gadget—you know the difference between a processor and a capacitor.
  • You thrive in fast-paced environments and can pivot quickly when market conditions change (e.g., a sudden chipset shortage)
  • You can translate complex data into clear, actionable slides for senior management.

Your Experience Includes

  • Hands-on experience in high-volume global procurement.
  • Exposure to international supplier negotiations.
  • Deep understanding of the "cradle-to-grave" lifecycle of consumer hardware.
