To support our continued growth, we are looking for the most exceptional finance professionals to join our US 3P Financial Planning & Analysis team. Our team provides strategic support to NA Stores CFO, CEO and senior leadership on planning, analysis, and reporting. As the central place the company looks to for an understanding of financial performance, we play a major role in driving business decisions.

In this role, you will play a key role in processes essential to the heartbeat of Amazon Stores Finance, including operating plan cycles, quarterly guidance cycles, topline reporting, and developing best practices for FP&A which have impact across the company. This role works closely with the WW Stores, Insights, Planning, Analytics, Technology (IPAT), WW SPS and the business finance teams. The Finance Manager drives key projects and will be a key business partner to the business finance teams, Finance Operations, Accounting, and Tax. We are looking for an experienced finance professional who is adaptable, capable of exercising high judgment, making informed decisions and insists on the highest standards. This role will also support the financial planning and analysis for Amazon Haul in partnership with the dedicated finance leader in the space.

Key job responsibilities

• Key resource in planning cycles for NA Stores (OP1, OP2, Guidance, 3-Year Forecast)
• Analyzing profitability performance of the 3P business, partnering with finance stakeholders across WWAS and SPS to deep dive variances and areas of risk and opportunity
• Communicating topline and profitability results and insights to senior leaders in NAS and WWAS through bridging, commentary, and financial narratives. These deliverables include authoring US 3P MFRs and financial summaries and contributing to guidance and OP1/OP2 documents for WWAS Finance L10+ leadership
• Owning offline pro forma modelling exercises end-to-end
• Leveraging Cognos/TM1 and other corporate financial systems to support deep dive analysis and results summarization in response to CFO/CEO needs
• Engage with business finance teams to support understanding and timeliness of financial deliverables
• Partner with the business and other Corporate FP&A teams to create workback calendars that support key meeting dates and ensure adequate review and preparation time.
  
  

A day in the life

This role will play a central role in coordinating across our US 3P Finance team to support profitability initiatives through the RAPID mechanism, Financial deep dives across US 3P a Amazon Haul, with the primary COGNOS MEC responsibility isolated to HC/OPEX. This FP&A role is unique in that it indexes more towards deep dives/ad hoc analysis than it does intensive MEC processes.

Basic Qualifications

• 12+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
• 7+ years of finance technology, forecast & budgeting, or other finance-focused competency experience
• Experience with Tableau, Python, SQB, Quicksight, Cognos or or other BI packages
• 8+ years of dissecting financial data and identifying patterns that support business strategy experience
• 8+ years of leading cross-functional initiatives that drive financial performance and strategy experience
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• MBA, or CPA
• Experience in a leadership position managing finance, accounting and operational processes

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
