As a Head of Legal & DPO at our company, we expect you to be responsible for the following:

• Managing the legal department team, setting tasks, monitoring their execution, and taking responsibility for the overall effectiveness and performance of the team.
• Maintaining the company’s license(-)s and carrying out all related procedures, including renewal, updates, and ensuring compliance with licensing conditions.
• Implementing and maintaining a privacy-by-design structure, ensuring all data handling adheres to LGPD.
• Consolidating and validating existing data flows to enhance privacy compliance.
• Overseeing all legal aspects of the organization including litigation (civil, labor, criminal), contracts, corporate governance, and tax consultancy.
• Managing relationships with external law firms that support the organization’s operations.
• Structuring and conducting all necessary legal flows and processes.
• Creating and maintaining the T&C and all other customer guidelines, such as offering loyalty programs or specific offers.
• Representing the company in public authorities concerning the data protection area of the companys activity.
  
  
  

Required skills:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar legal or compliance role.
• Qualified lawyer with strong expertise in data protection and privacy laws.
• DPO (Data Protection Officer) certification is required.
• Proven experience managing legal matters within a corporate environment or law firm.
• Previous experience in the iGaming industry is highly preferred.
• Strong experience working with public authorities and deep understanding of personal data privacy regulations.
• Broad legal expertise, including litigation, contracts, and general corporate law.
• OAB registration active and in good standing.
• Fluent in English and Portuguese, with high proficiency to ensure effective communication across global teams.
