POSITION SUMMARY

The Quality Control Engineer will be responsible for driving manufacturing quality performance through data analysis, corrective action implementation, process control, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners with cross-functional teams to support NPI and product transfer activities, resolve quality issues, ensure compliance with quality standards, and improve yield, reliability, and overall product quality.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze quality data, initiate and follow up proactive corrective actions from other parties to improve quality performance continuously.
  • Lead Yield/OATF and QIP meetings.
  • Review Purging Notice, MRB, RMA, ECO, ePBR, LRS and WIS.
  • Raise Stop Build/Ship Notice for in-process issues                                                                                                                                                     
  • Follow up root-cause analysis and containment actions for problems released by "Hold Shipment Notice.
  • To prepare regular quality reports (Yield/OATF) and other related reports                                                                                                                                          
  • Work with QE in NPI for handover of NPI products to Masspro line. Review/revise quality plan and provide other required deliverables.                          
  • Work with the transfer team for qualification of a transfer product from other sites.                                                                                                                        
  • Monitor the transfer, build completion and generate report for the transfer qualification
  •  Analyze burn-in test yield data continually to reduce the burn-in time of products released from PVT.
  • Generate, maintain and submit required data on a regular basis for the TL9000 and/or other reports related to other certification bodies.                                             
  • Corrective Action verification and effectiveness verification for line issues                                                                                                       

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (Industrial, Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related discipline).
  • At least 3-5 years of experience in Quality Engineering or Manufacturing Quality, preferably in electronics, semiconductor, EMS, or high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies including Root Cause Analysis (8D, 5 Why, Fishbone), CAPA, SPC, FMEA, MSA, and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Experience supporting NPI, product transfer, and manufacturing operations, including process qualification, yield improvement, quality planning, and corrective action verification.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and quality reporting, with the ability to interpret yield, reliability, and test data, prepare management reports, and drive actions to improve product quality and manufacturing performance.
  • Preferably:
    • Knowledge of ISO 9001, TL9000, and other quality management systems.
    • Experience handling MRB, RMA, ECO, and non-conformance management processes.
    • Strong presentation and facilitation skills with experience leading quality review meetings.
    • Advanced Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis skills.
