Role Overview

• Uncovers potential claims with Product Development and other departments (Regulatory Affairs/Innovations /Marketing/SIFT) to come up with the best supportable claims for identified projects
• Generates claims support for new and existing products in collaboration with Product Development/Regulatory Affairs/Innovations/Marketing/SIFT. Reviews potential sources of claims such as technical data, clinical test results, competitive claims and market research.
• Collaborates with Product Development on products needing clinical research
• Proposes areas for improvement in the claims management processes to facilitate a faster release of well-substantiated claims support to customers/regulatory bodies (e.g. FDA, ASC). Identifies and addresses areas for improvement in the SCM work processes and translates them into relevant SOPs and work Instructions
• Leads the preparation of technical documents such as claims support, clinical report abridge version, standard operating procedures, work instructions and other relevant documentations to meet GMP requirements/reports and uploads in the appropriate database
• Analyzes key competitors and how they compare vs. own products in terms of claims performance and proposes action plans to translate them to a competitive advantage
• Effectively designs typical to complex internal consumer tests with least supervision and leads internal consumer tests of product
• Leads in the preparation for external consumer tests such as (but not limited to) labelling, ordering of packaging materials, purchase of competitive products, scheduling of package and product transfers from supplier to product preparation venue to research agency
• Leads in the preparation for external consumer tests such as (but not limited to) labelling, ordering of packaging materials, purchase of competitive products, scheduling of package and product transfers from supplier to product preparation venue to research agency
• Manages day-to-day sensory testing operations
  
  

Required Qualifications

• With product formulation and process development background in Body/Personal Care.
• Has exposure in sensory testing of skin care products (ideally).
• Has basic knowledge about the following:
• science of the skin
• clinical test protocols - design, review and data interpretation of the reports.
• statistical analysis (is an advantage)
• Has exposure to product claims generation and substantiation of skin care products.
• Has a good sense of smell with no major skin condition.
• A plus if the person has exposure on ingestives.
• Has good communication and business presentation skills.
