US Tax Associate - Experienced Staff

The Tax Associate - Income Tax Return will mainly be responsible for completing USA individual tax returns and various corporate tax returns.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of federal and state tax returns for individuals and various business entity types (partnerships, s-corporations, c-corporations).
• Review financial records such as balance sheet, income statements, general ledger to determine forms needed to prepare the returns
• Prepare and organize tax workpapers.
• Openly communicate with tax director, manager, and supervisors regarding technical questions as well as the progress of projects and tasks.
• Analyzing and minimizing tax liabilities by implementing tax reduction strategies
• Participate in other tax administrative filings such as preparation of annual state reports, business renewal, state registrations, property tax, and other administrative filings.
• Participate in meetings and conference calls with the team and clients
• Participate in other ad hoc tasks, as applicable
  
  

• Bachelors degree in accounting or related field required
• Preferably with at least 1 year of US tax preparation experience
• Experience in using tax preparation software and applications such as CCH Axcess, CCH Prosystem, Drake, Ultratax and other US tax-related software is a big plus.
• CPA, Enrolled Agent, and other certifications are not required but a plus
• Excellent interpersonal as well as verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail, strong critical thinking and leadership skills
• Knowledge of various software programs such as Word, Excel, and Adobe
